Tiffannosaurus rex (or regina) 🐾

Hi there 🐾

My name is Tiffannosaurus rex - actually regina - but you can call me Tiffany for short.

My female human family intruduces me as 'Petite' Tiffany though.

Would  it suprise you to say that I am descended from Tyrannosaurus rex?

Technically I am femal, so I am not 'rex' but 'regina'.

I believe my ancestor is Tyrannosaurus Rex lived  in the Late Cretaceous period.

They were said to be the strongest large carnibouros dinosaurs and weighed estimated 9 tons, much heavier than the current elephants.

Of courese, they were much different from what I am now.

They were carnivore, but I prefer dry fish food, especiall tuna flavor.

They weighed about 9 tons, but mine is  only 5.3 kg.

So that it may be difficult to imagine dinnasaurs when you look at me below.

Oooooops

It is not surprise that I am descended from dinasaurus, you humans also carry Neanderthal genes.

Have you read the report published about some years ago  said that 'a genetic variant inherited from Neanderthals reduces the risk of severe COVID-19'.

This means that you humans have inherited Neanderthal genes and have been benefitting from them

That means it not wonder I am descended from T-rex.

As time has passed, many things have changed.

You know huge ferns disapeared, and now they are houseplants.

Likewise a lot of various species appeared and died, and sometimes changed.

Some scientists believe that birds are descendants of dinosaurs.

Do you believe that? Birds? 

Some dinosaur fossils actually had feathers like birds.

This discovery led scientists to speculate that T-rex might have had feathers,.

Now it is believed T-rex did not.

I have long hair! ...Oops again!

But I still  believe that I have the dinosaur genes running through me!

Hello from Tiffany 🐾

Do you remember me?

I AM Tiffany. 

I have already blogged twice.

Did you read them?

When I was little, I was too small to climb up and down the stairs, so my human family would carry me every time.

Steps are too higher for me.

Then I grew up and I could jump up on the chairs, and I advnedured to climb onto the fridge ... and I fell out of it.

To rescue me, my human family had to move the fridge with a lot of energy.

They said it was very hard to move it!

Now I am grown and gave up on big adventure.

I always sit at the window looking out.

The biggest thing I am enjoyng these days is skraching my nails, oh not on  the  sofa or on wallsl.

I have been using my scratching boad, of course, but human family sometimes complain that the walls are damages!

I think my nails may have touched the wall when I streched.

It was just an accident!

I sometimes play with a small paper ball.

It is interesting!

I hit the papar ball only once, so my human family thows it after I do every time for me.

You know, chasing a ball isn't so fun like when I was a kitten.

My human family, especially 'female' always carries me everywhere she is.

Even when I want to sleep on the carpet, she carries me upstairs.

Or even when I sleep by the window, she tries to hold me and put me to sleep in the basket.

I want her to leave me alone!

As you see, I am Maine Coon, the beggest cat in the world, but I am small.

My human family tried to make me big enough to enter the Guinnes Book of  Records, but I was small one and i ended up being fat!

My vet told my human family to make me thinner

I was forced to eat less for a while, but my 'male'  human family found me delicious snacks.

He bought me 2 or 3 differnt ones and when I don't eat or like them he gives me another one.

He spoils me so much.

Now I have two meals and have 'soup' snacks three or four times a day.

So I gained weight and now I weigh 5.3 kg.

We all know how hard to lose weight!

My 'femail' human family says the same thing!

Hot days are updated every day.

第１話　パリ🇫🇷編です

私の最初のヨーロッパ旅行✈️は「団体旅行」でした

ちょうど　パリ🇫🇷でクリスマスイブ🎄になり　ちょうど「団体旅行」の中の一人の女の子が誕生日🎁でした

彼女の友達が　バースデイケーキ🎂と　「誕生日の歌🎵」の演奏を　彼女に内緒で頼んだようでした

私たちは同じツアーなので　Happy birthday to you 🎵を歌いました

その時　レストラン🍽にいたパリ🇫🇷の人たちも　一緒にその歌をうたってくれて　ケーキ🎂のロウソク🕯を消す時には　一緒に拍手👏🏻もしてくれていました

「冷たい」と有名なパリ🇫🇷の人々でしたが　本当に心温まる瞬間❤️でした

Today is Christmas🎄🎁

This is my third blog🐾

If you haven't read my previous ones, please read them.

One day In November, I was taken to the vet for annual vacination💉

You humans also got vaccinated💉, right❓

Many of cats hate to be taken to the vet, but I don't.

I think my clinic is not a bad place 🐾

My vet is kind and the nurses are nice.

But there is a big problem💦

Can you guess what❓

My kind but mean vet said I AM too fat🙀

Of course, I notice I sometimes snore like a pig🐷 while sleeping.

But my human family said to the vet that I am ALWAYS snoring so loud❗️

That's not true‼️

My female human family feeds me a lot every day to make me grow up as a "standered-sized" Maine Coon🐱.

Do you really know how big average-sized Maine Coons are❓

Femal Maine Coon are 4-6kg.

I am 5.2-5.3kg.

You know Maine Coon is one of the biggest kind of cats in the world❗️

(Not a potato, "May queen"🥔.)

So my human family tried to make me big like a regular-sized one🐱.

That's the reason why I gained a lot of weight.

It wasn't MY fault😿

Besides food-problem, I sleep well like this (below)

My human family seems to be very busy and they are out most of the day🐾

I am at home every day, so I spend most of the time sleeping💤

And as my human family love me so much, they put a cozy bed each room❗️

I can sleep comfortably wherever I go to💤

But, but, but, of course, I love playing🐾🐾🐾

Like these (below) I sometimes play in a plastic bag or in a shopping bag when I find them. sometimes in a cardboard box🐾 

              

When my human family are at home, I can play with them🐾

I use a lot of energy to lose weight 🐾🐾🐾

But  actually I spend most of the time taking a nap💤

It's no wonder I get weight🙀

Both of my human family always say that they themselves have gained a lot of weight and that they have to lose weight 😹

They try to eat less, so I have to eat less, too.

So sad 💦

Anyway this is my life🐾

笑える話② スイスのバグパイプのパフォーマー

旅行🚃🚃をしていると　駅や道で数多くの「大道芸人🎷🎺」　英語で言うストリートパーフォーマーstreet perfomer に出会います

ハワイ🇬🇧のワイキキビーチの通りには　夕方🌆になると　歩くたびに　そういった「芸人さん」パフォーマーに当たります

特に　「銀色の動かないパフォーマー」が長年にわたりワイキキ通りの名物でしたが　今はどうなのでしょうか❓

２０１８年の夏に行った時には　まるでジャニーズのように　歌って🎤踊れる💃若手のパフォーマーがいっぱいいました

名古屋はよくわかりませんが　金山🇯🇵の駅では　多くのパフォーマーを見たことがあります

ほとんどの人が　ギター🎸とかを片手に歌っていましたっけ

まあ　上手な人もいれば　練習中だとおぼしき　人もいましたっけか🤔

色々な場所で　そうしたパフォーマーを見て来た中で　特に「１位🏆」と「違う意味のイタイ１位🥇」のご紹介をしたいと思います

まず輝かしい　本当の意味でも　素晴らしい「１位🏆」は　ロンドン🇬🇧の地下鉄の駅　ウェストミンスターWestminster駅の　「地下道」で見たバイオリン奏者🎻の演奏！！！

私はバイオリンに対して知識はありませんが　この時の演奏は素晴らしく　「プロの奏者🎻」ではないかと思ったほどの　素晴らしい演奏でした👏🏻

残念なことに　イギリス（ロンドン）🇬🇧では地下構内での「演奏活動」は禁止されていたため　多分「地下道」であっても　その演奏は「無許可」であったと思いますが　本当に素晴らしく　立ち止まってしばらく　その曲に聞き入ってしまいました

通常はバイオリンのケースなどを開いておいて　そこにチップなどを入れるようにしてあるのですが　残念なことに　そのパフォーマーの前にはチップを入れるものが何も置いてなく　ただ演奏を聴いて欲しいだけのようでした

でも　本当に素晴らしかったです👏🏻

ここでちょっと「ちなみに」の話ですがsubwayのアメリカとイギリスの差についてです

ご存知　アメリカではsubwayは「地下鉄」の意味ですが　イギリスでは地下鉄はundergraoundまたはtubeと言います

反対に「地下道」はアメリカではunderground  イギリスではsubwayになります

逆の意味になるので　良港をされる際には　よくご注意ください

そして🥁🥁🥁 ... 堂々「違う意味の１位」は　... スイス🇨🇭はローザンヌの駅前の「バグパイプbagpipe」のお兄さんです‼️

なぜ「堂々の」１位かというと...

バグパイプ(bagpipe)は持っていて　多分「吹いて」いたのでしょうが　ヒューヒューと言う音しか聞こえてこず... これは私にでもできるのではないかと思ったのでした😂

「これば絶対にバグパイプの音ではないな」と　バグパイプに詳しくない私でもわかりました🤣

服装も　バグパイプ特有のスコットランド衣装を着ていたわけでもなく　... 私のバグパイプの乏しい知識を総動員しても　バグパイプというのは　吹いた息が　袋(bag)の中にはいり　それが袋の上側についている笛(pipe)を通して音が出るという仕組みなのですが　... 

そのバグパイプパフォーマーのお兄さんは　顔を真っ赤😡にして息は吹いているのですが　多分袋には空気が溜まっているのでしょうか　音が「スカー　スカー」としか聞こえないのです

いやいや　本当に楽しみました🤣

ロンドンの プロではないかと思われたバイオリン奏者🎻の前には　うまい演奏にも関わらずチップ入れが置いてなかったのですが　このバグパイプのお兄さんの前には　小さめの缶が置いてあり　まさかの「チップ入れ」だったのです

んんん... 「バグパイプの演奏」ではなく　「バグパイプの練習」で　チップを取るのか...と思いながら　缶の中を見ると　それでも少しチップが入っているではありませんか

自分でいれた　いわゆるチップの「サクラ」ではないかと思ったのですが　本当に面白かったので　私もチップを入れました😄

そして　これまでにないほど　立ち止まって　その「演奏」じゃなくて「練習」を楽しみました

普段着で　音の出ない　そして顔を真っ赤😡にしている　ローザンヌのバグパイプパファーマーに拍手👏🏻...の紹介でした

何事にしろ　「一所懸命さ」は　心に響くと感じた一瞬でした❗️

そして今は　あのバグパイプのお兄さんは　うまく演奏できるようになっているのだろうか❓

それとも　もう諦めてしまったのだろうか...⁉️

Hello, everymeowne ... again!

You didn't?! .... Oh💦 ...That's OK!

I'm Petite Tiffany😸, and I am sometimes called "Neko-chan" - "cat🐱" in English.

"Petite" is a French word meaning "little" in English, so my name is "Kleine" Tiffany in German, and "Piccola" Tiffany in Italian.

I😸 think there may be two names in the human world.

What's why I have to try to reply by waving my tail, whether I'm called "Tiffany" or "Neko-chan". It's hard to understand humans😹!!

I'm😸 three years and one month old now.

I wanted to post this blog on my third birthday, on Septmeber 13th, but I couldn't.

I don't know how to post 🙀, so I asked and asked my human family to do so.

But she said she had been busy💦

Anyway I 😸will tell you about my daily life.

As I 😸wrote in my my  first blog, when I😸 was very little, I had a lot of troubles💦.

I was so small and very short, it was hard for me to walk🐾 between the legs of chairs or a desk. You can't imagne, there are so many obstables in the house. Try crawling on the floor in each room.

You see, it's super difficult, right?

Beside It was really hard for me - for a little kitten 🐱- to climb the stars.

Little by lttle, I grew up and I could climb the stairs first, then the table, then the fridge ... and then I fell off the fridge💦. My human family had to remove the cupboard and finally rescued me.

In addition, I got stuck upside down🙀 between nattow boxes📦. My human family noticed my tail shaking 💦and rescued me immediatly.

Various challenges have been contiuing !

Every time there are difficulties, my human family always help me...Meownk you.

Sometimes I think humans are good guys😸.

Weeeeeeell .... I spend my days sleeping💤 though.

Last week I was very surprised 🙀to see a strange big ugry animal through the window. It seems to called a "cat"! ...?...?...?

"Cat?" 🙀.... the same as me?!

As I told you, I am often called "Neko-chan", but I counldn't recognise that ugrly cat and I, called "Neko-chan", were the same animal😾!  I was really shocked😿!!

Actually I don't belive this.

I'm sure my human family said it meanly😹...maybe...😺

The picture above is when  ... my tongue is out😹.  I forgot putting my tongue into my mouth😹!

It took me a couple of minutes to notice this😸!

I have one more thing to tell you. I 😼have a special skill.

It is the ability to search for insects🐝🐞. 

I can find even small insects such as ants🐜 so quickly. I'm not afraid of big spiders🕷.

My human family says spiders 🕷are a good insect, but of course I'm not always going to kill them. It's strange to say, but when I chase after them🕷, and peck with my forefoot, they🕷... faint. 

Just last week, I happened to find two spiders🕷🕷. After I chased them and poked them with my front legs, they fainted... only for two days.

I wanted to play with them 🕷more.

So far, this is about my😸 daily life.

笑える話① 日本のタクシーの注意事項

アメリカ人の友達🇺🇸から聞いた「面白い日本の話」第１話

日本のタクシー🚕についてです

まず毎回恒例の　長い前置きからです

結構　ヨーロッパの観光地🇬🇧🇨🇭🇫🇷🇮🇹では　公共交通機関が発達していて　電車🚃・地下鉄🚇・バス🚌などで　気楽に行ける観光地が多いのですが　時にはタクシー🚕で行く方が（人数的に）割安であったり　時間がかからない場合がありますよね

アメリカ🇺🇸では　反対に公共交通機関が発達していないというか　その前に　自家用車🚗というべき個人の車が発達してしまったというか

観光地ハワイ🇺🇸のホノルルでさえも　タクシー・レンタカーなどが主流で　２０２０年末にようやく鉄道Honolulu Rail Transit🚃が半分開通するというニュースが流れていましたが　コロナ禍の中　どうなってしまっているんでしょうか❓

H１ハイウェーはすごい混み具合でしたが　

（２０２５年までには全通開通する予定らしかったのですが...😅）

ロンドン🇬🇧では　大型ブラックキャブ・ミニキャブ　そして最近ではウーバーもありますが　今日はロンドン特有のブラックキャブ🚕(←黒のタクシーの絵が見つからず）を取り上げると...

ロンドンで黒いタクシーBlack Cab （ニューヨークのYellow Cab は呼び方がよく知られていますね）ですが　ロンドンのタクシーの運転手cabby はナレッジ試験 Knowledge of Londonという名前の試験🖋を受けています

受けているというか　この試験に合格しないとタクシー運転手になれないので　ロンドン市内の地理（およそ２５，０００もの道路・地下鉄のルート・建物の名前と位置・駅・公共施設などの知識）を平均４年かけて暗記し　合格しなければいけないそうなのです

ですので　ブラックキャブの場合は　少し割り高にはなりますが　知識が豊富なのと「ボラれない」ので安心ですよね

それでタクシー運転手はプロ中のプロな訳なのですが　・・・ロンドンでタクシーの乗り降りには日本では考えられない注意点があります

なんだと思いますか⁉️

...

まず　助手席側から　行き先を告げてから　タクシーの乗り込みますが　日本のように　タクシーに乗ってから行き先を告げてもいいですけど

肝心なのは　その次なのです

「タクシー🚕は自動ドアではない」ので　自分でドアを開けて乗らないといけないのです」

なので　ドアを開くまで待っていても　ずっと開かないんです! ‼️

（加えて　１０％くらいのチップ💸が必要ですよ）

という上のことを考えると　外国の人が日本のタクシーに注意する点がわかってきませんか⁉️

察しのいい方は　もう閃きましたよね‼️　

私が見たのはアメリカ人に見せてもらった　アメリカのとある観光会社からのパンフレット📰（ちょっと昔のものです）の「日本での注意事項」のようなものだったのですが　その中に「日本のタクシー🚕は自動でドアが開くので　ドアのそばに立っていると危険‼️」とあったのです

これはかなり古い話なのですが　苦笑ですね😅

「タクシー🚕に乗る場合は　ドアがぶつかってこないように　離れて立つ」ことも　注意事項として書かれているのですよ

日本のタクシーに慣れている　私たち日本人には　タクシーのドアが自動で開くこと　そしてチップは必要ないこと　それにたとえスーツケースのような荷物があっても　チップの加算を心配せずに　タクシーの運転手が荷物を乗せるのを手伝ってくれますが　この乗り心地の良さは　多分日本（と香港などのアジアの一部地域）だけなのですね❗️

豆知識💡をご披露しますと　このタクシーの自動ドアは１９６４年の東京オリンピック🥇がきっかけだったそうなんです

（若い皆さん　東京オリンピック２０２０🥇では決してないですよ‼️）

そして　最近の日本のタクシー🚕に対する最近の外国からの観光客の反応は（googleによると）

・自動でドアが開く

・運転手が年を取っている人が多い

の二点がやはり多いそうなんですが　以外にも「自動ドア」の件では　昔の「自動ドアは危険」という意見から「自動ドアは素晴らしい」に内容が変わっているようなのです😄
